Liljeholmsbadet is a historic swimming hall in Hornstull, Stockholm. The project explores how the building — currently closed — could be transformed and given a new purpose, with a focus on its unique qualities of light and water.
The design proposes a reprogramming of the building that preserves its industrial heritage and strong spatial character, while creating new conditions for community, movement, and contemplation.
Light and water are treated as active design materials — through materiality, color, and spatial sequencing, the transformation of light throughout the day becomes integral to the experience of the space.
